About Dr. Judson Brandeis

Dr. Judson Brandeis is a Board-Certified Urologist, Men’s Health and Sexual Medicine expert serving the San Francisco East Bay for 25 years. Based in San Ramon, he provides specialized men’s health care to patients from Alamo, Blackhawk, Concord, Danville, Dublin, Lafayette, Livermore, Moraga, Oakland, Orinda, Pleasanton, San Francisco, San Jose, San Ramon, and Walnut Creek.

Voted Top Urologist in the SF Bay Area by SF Magazine (2014–2026), Dr. Brandeis focuses on Men’s Physical, Sexual, and Urologic Health and Rejuvenation. Dr. Brandeis is an award-winning author, men’s health researcher, and public speaker/podcaster.

SWEET Study

The largest clinical trial to date analyzing the real-world efficacy of Low-Intensity Shockwave Therapy (Li-ESWT) for treating vasculogenic erectile dysfunction. This study established new benchmarks for non-invasive ED treatment protocols.

SURGE Study

Prostate Cancer Rehab

A completed clinical trial that investigated a novel transdermal serum designed to improve penile blood flow. The study focused on helping prostate cancer survivors rehabilitate erectile tissue after surgery or radiation.

A completed investigation into the use of shockwave therapy to treat Peyronie’s Disease. The study evaluated the technology’s ability to reduce penile curvature and alleviate pain associated with fibrous scar tissue.

Education

A native New Yorker, Dr. Brandeis attended Brown University (Magna Cum Laude) to study History before attending Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He spent a year at Harvard Medical School conducting research sponsored by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Dr. Brandeis completed his formal medical training with two years of general surgery and four years of Urology residency at the world-renowned UCLA Department of Urology.

Leadership

Dr. Brandeis is a dedicated leader who believes in sharing his expertise to advance the field of urology. He served as Chief of Urology at John Muir Hospital for eight years, where he pioneered the Surgical Robotics Program in 2002. Dr. Brandeis established the Kidney Stone Center at John Muir Concord and served as Chief of Urology at Hill Physicians for seven years.

As an educator, Dr. Brandeis was the lead trainer for REVIVE, conducting certification courses on Male Sexual Wellness, Shockwave Therapy, and PRP across the country. He served as faculty for The Aesthetic Show in Las Vegas and X-Medica, lecturing on sexual wellness innovation.
